Disclosures

Required regulatory and partner-program disclosures for the Lucid Terminal website and software.

Futures Risk Disclosure

Trading futures and options on futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. You should carefully consider whether trading is suitable for you in light of your circumstances, knowledge, and financial resources. You may lose all or more than your initial investment. Past performance of any trading system or methodology is not necessarily indicative of future results.

Stocks & Options Risk Disclosure

Trading stocks and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Options are complex instruments: an option can expire worthless, causing the loss of the entire premium paid, and selling (writing) options can expose you to losses greater than the premium received. Trading on margin or with leverage magnifies losses; you may lose more than you deposit and may be required to deposit additional funds on short notice. Nothing in Lucid Terminal is investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or option.

Kill Switch scope. The Kill Switch never closes stock positions, long or short. In the Options and Terminal canvases it closes only options that expire within seven (7) calendar days (exchange time, America/New_York); longer-dated options are never closed by it. It sends market close orders, and fills and prices are set by your broker. See Section 6.2 of the Terms of Service.

CFTC Rule 4.41 — Hypothetical Performance Disclosure

Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results.

All performance figures displayed anywhere on this site — including backtest results, bot statistics, profit-factor and win-rate metrics, equity curves, and aggregated user data — are hypothetical unless specifically labeled as live or verified.

NinjaTrader Ecosystem Vendor Disclosure

Market data & open P&L

Until real-time CME market data is licensed, open (unrealized) P&L and account equity for Tradovate-backed accounts update when a position closes; realized P&L, fills and balances update live as trades close.

Brand-distinction notice — Lucid Terminal is not Lucid Trading

Lucid Terminal is a software product built and operated by Lucid Entities LLC, a company formed in July 2024 that has operated under the “Lucid” name since then. “Lucid Trading” is a separate, independently owned proprietary trading (prop) firm. The two are unrelated companies:

  • There is no corporate affiliation, common ownership, parent/subsidiary relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, sponsorship, endorsement, or business relationship of any kind between Lucid Entities LLC / Lucid Terminal and Lucid Trading.
  • The shared word “Lucid” in the two names is coincidental and does not indicate any connection between the companies, their products, or their people.
  • Lucid Terminal does not act for, speak for, or make any promise or commitment on behalf of Lucid Trading, and Lucid Trading does not act for, speak for, or make any commitment on behalf of Lucid Terminal or Lucid Entities LLC.
  • If you hold an account with Lucid Trading, that relationship — including evaluations, rules, fees, account status, and payouts — is governed solely by your agreement with Lucid Trading. Direct any question about a Lucid Trading account to Lucid Trading.
  • Lucid Terminal can display data from brokerage and prop-firm accounts that a user chooses to connect through supported third-party APIs. That technical compatibility is not an affiliation, endorsement, or partnership with any firm, including Lucid Trading.
  • “Lucid Trading” and any related names or marks belong to their respective owner and are referenced here only to distinguish the two companies.

Broker & prop firm logos & brand names

Prop firm, broker, and brokerage logos and brand names shown on Lucid Terminal’s website and inside the application (TopstepX, MyFundedFutures, Apex Trader Funding, Bulenox, Tradeify, Take Profit Trader, Tradovate, SnapTrade, the stock and options brokerages available through SnapTrade, and others) belong to their respective owners. Listing a firm or brokerage as supported indicates only that Lucid Terminal can connect to accounts there — for futures accounts, through our Tradovate integration under the NinjaTrader vendor program; for stock and options brokerages, through SnapTrade, a third-party brokerage-connection provider. It does not indicate endorsement of Lucid Terminal by that firm or brokerage beyond its published API access policies.

Risk Disclosures

Risk Disclosure: Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one’s financial security or lifestyle. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

Hypothetical Performance Disclosure: Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program despite trading losses are material points that can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program that cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.

Testimonials Disclosure: Testimonials appearing on this website may not be representative of other clients or customers and are not a guarantee of future performance or success. Live Trade Room Example: This presentation is for educational purposes only and the opinions expressed are those of the presenter only. All trades presented should be considered hypothetical and should not be expected to be replicated in a live trading account.
